Ok, I state the same here because I am about to have enough.

Ok, gents, please! could we at least let ONE week (actually, preferably more) pass before tearing everything apart?  :-\

TD might be generous, but they are still (human) people, and emotions could get touched. Please don't over abuse of what seems a green light from their part.

It will come in due time, if you don't see it, don't ask for more than you're already getting  >:(

Does "patience" still mean something for anyone here?  :(

I apologize if I bother with this defence , but IIRC Aracno is a TD member and in his post in the tread below , apart remebering the author of the skins don't seem bothered about 409 conversion....

Please dont forget the credits for the wonderful skins by 150GCT_Italo   ;) .

No mate I don't mean start at full speed!

I have start with feet of lead too but I have (and maybe others) understood that a certain degree of freedom was allowed....at the end those aren't mod modification in the strict sense (please Epervier , don't get angry , I don't want to belittle your great work with my words!!!) but adptation of their work for a anyway official version of the game as 409 is!

But I can get back into the ranks immediately for the next future without trouble to avoid trouble with TD....so I tell you:

Aye Aye sir!

Has anyone converted this for 4.10.1, ModAct 3.6?

Hi all!
Just my humble opinion about this situation.
First of all: I'm proudly one of the (so known) "4.09 rebels". I mostly use 4.09, I mod for 4.09 and (but I'm not skilled as the great Epervier) convert with my poor knowledge planes for my 4.09 game. And this can be said to be the "main stable core" of my IL-2 gaming.

In addition i have (listen well please) a CLEAN IL-2 1946 installation (yes, you read well) with NO MODS, always updated to official standard (so, as I write, I updated it to 4.11).

Why? Well....several months ago, when the first 4.10 patch was developed, I feared things could go this way (sadly), with multiple official patches that make obsolete many mods.
I don't want to be rude or polemical with "official way of doing", I just want to give my counsel:
always take a clean updated version of the game to enjoy the great work done by TD in official patches, and if you have enough space in your HD, save a 4.09 version of your game useful for heavy modding.
As you can see, right now 4.09 game version (and right here I want to remember the GREAT WORK done by Epervier, that I hope will be the standard for all modders) has QUITE ALL THE PLANE DONE FOR 4.101 (except some exclusives, as, for the example, the last modern jets) plus ALL THE MODS DONE FOR 4.09 (and never converted to 4.101) plus (and this is hilarious) SOME OF THE 4.11 PLANES (converted for 4.09 BUT NOT for 4.101).

So, by now, 4.09 is RICHER, STURDIER and MORE STABLE than every other installation.

So, instead of spending time in retrofitting for 4.101, I think that it has more sense to convert (where possible) for 4.09. The same contents (flyable AI planes, effects, bla bla bla...) surely will arrive with official updates.
And, if it will not be, remember that we could have a future where everyone will wait mods converted for 4.101, for 4.11, for 4.12, for 4.xx, etc etc etc....

In conclusion: grow your IL-2 game with official updates and be confident in TD and modding community work; but in the meantime, believe in a good old 4.09 installation (for conversions and retrofitting): may this seems radical, but in my opinion this will give us the patience to wait for a REAL STABLE MODDED game (4.11? 4.12? 4.13? Who knows), and also will give to modders the peace and the experience to create a new future version that will be as stable and rich as 4.09 was (...no, as 4.09 IS).

Just my opinion.
Happy flying and happy modding to everyone!

PS: Thank you Epervier!
