All the DBW and UP map sfs files port nicely . Don't forget to copy the all.ini file over so the maps show up .

Sound changes just not working for me.  :(
Tried both the .rc-file method (mentioned above with the edits and placement of the sas sound files in main Il2 directory) and also CM_Jiver's Total Sound Mod v.2 through GME. Neither seems to change the sounds at all (still left with default). I have tried both using the Alpha Mod Activator as well as the SAS activator set to classic mod game - no luck. I do have the  2_Ecran Wide working, so mods are indeed working for me, just not the sound changes...

Baffled.  ???

Its because the buttons used haven't got an updated sound matrix, until someone here works there magic and does an updated version of the 4.11 buttons, sounds for engines will only very partially work.

I have it working fine, but I did not use JGSME with this one. I just placed it into the "MODS" folder (so I now see a "2 Ecran_Wide folder" within) and it worked like a charm.

I downloaded the Freedmods site mod act. Plunked it in and put the following in my mods folder (all work) (didn't use JGSME)
   > Ecranwide2
   > Thunderstorm sounds
   > Carrier crew v5
   > Fly_zo's F6f cockpit repaint (why isn't this in all the packs? its great)
   > Bomber crew mod (again, why not "standard"?)
   > Slikks battle sounds v2

One that doesn't work that is essential for me is Bentimuso's Hud config :( (I dont like ANYTHING) on my hud.
I suspect his mission pro doesnt work either, but didn't try it. stock 4.11 is ok-ish.

6DOF seems well implemented and smooth. Planes I tried feel "different", but maybe thats my imagination (109G2 seems more stable, F6F5 feels less so - just dreaming this?)

I had a couple wierdnesses with key bindings... maybe a reboot will fix - my "Pause" key on the joystick wasn't recognized.. very odd. may not be game/mod related though.

Overall, a happy camper. Hopefully SAS/UP will be able to "port" to the new version without too much trouble, and now some of the usual mods are built in :)

Much of Slikk's MEGA Cockpit mods seem to work just fine too.

I have now successfully mounted almost all the content from DBW/UP to 4.11m + modact, and it works fine ! The only missing things are all the planes.sfs, they work when only mounted but no new plane shows up, when I replace the air.ini with the one from DBW it crashes 60 %. Well like Anto said classfile mods from 4101 work and FM are working when from 409...

But now it is visually almost the same, new cockpits, textures, maps, fbdsm, objects, all 3dfixes, sounds etc  ;)

Have also added some other mods :

better pilots, wheelfix, Jcats effects, Uwe's effect + sound compilation, of course ecran wide, FOV mod (default fov doesn't work), clouds big, carrier crew, PAL mini map, battle sounds, Pal cockpit sounds.

All work fine, but some I tried didn't like Gear damage, plutonium, default fov, mission pro combo, hud customize, POV padlock hotkeys and a jet sounds replacement I did for myself (the sounds stayed the old ones).

For now this will be my playground, until I start missing all the mod planes...

Hi folks,
Decided to "join the mob" and had a fresh install of Il2 patched up to 411m (Ton's mod activator). I tried the FC that Uzin mentioned as compatible, and it freezes the game in QMB...
