Has anyone been able to get any sound mods to work ? If so which one worked ?
Yes. There is a .rc-file inside the Files-folder. This file is able to integrate *.sfs-files into the system. So add some lines at the bottom of .rc like these:

@sfs MOUNT sas_sound_01.sfs
@sfs MOUNT sas_sound_02.sfs
@sfs MOUNT sas_sound_03.sfs
@sfs MOUNT sas_sound_04.sfs
@sfs MOUNT sas_sound_05.sfs

#preload REGISTER
@file .preload
and copy the soundfiles (from SAS modenabler) into the game folder.

4.09 mod Canopy P-39 works for 4.11 modded by ton414 well.
also:
0Canopy_La-5,
0Canopy_La-7,
0Canopt_LaGG-3
all work well.
EDIT:
0_OpenCanopyP40E,M works well for all ingame P-40s .
Edit2:
Canopy_Yaks works well for Yak-1 only, as before.
Attention !
Hurricane Canopies does not work for modded 4.11, while it worked for HSFX4.1 !

I'm looking forward/hoping for a SAS online buttons for 4.11, that will be awesome.

The buttons file that comes with the activator is the original  buttons from Patch 4.11m.

Then how does one add new planes, Ton? I have failed so far. 60% crash etc.

The buttons file that comes with the activator is the original  buttons from Patch 4.11m.
