Can't make any add-ons work...
« on: January 10, 2012, 09:28:13 PM »

I have IL2 1946 updated to 4.10.1, SAS Modact 3.06, and Buttons 9.5.7. I use the .exe file that comes with the generic mode enabler so I get the little configuration box that allows selection of UP, DBW, etc. All I do in there is change the max RAM to 1024mb and enable the SAS Modact 3. This all seems to work well. It loads and runs with the newer splash screen. Any mod or even a single airplane added causes it to CTD at about 70%. For instance, I try to add the SAS F9F-2 Panther. I put the F9F-2 Panther folder in the IL2 MODS folder. I put the normal tank files in the MODS folder. I add the F9F-2 line to the air.ini file. That's all it says I need to do but it won't load at all. None of the planes or mods I have tried to install work. Is there any particular place or order that the air.ini lines need to be installed in the air.ini file? Is there another air.ini file or planes_ru or weapons_ru somewhere that i need to modify as well? Are there any other mods or updates I need to do to IL2 to make this work? I read something about the DIFF_FM_MOD so I tried to install that. It didn't work either. What am I missing?

Uhhhhhhhh..... pardon my ignorance but I'm not really sure how to do that other than taking a picture and trying to take a pic of an LCD flat screen doesn't really work; at least it doesn't for me. Lots of weird wavy lines through the pics. Is there some other way to save a screenshot in Win 7?

All Windows have screenshot capture function inside.

push "PrintScreen" key, you get all screen SS in ClipBoard. Open Windows Paint and push Ctrl+V then paste ClipBoard.
push "Alt + PrintScreen" key, you get SS only active window in ClipBoard. Open Windows Paint and push Ctrl+V then paste ClipBoard.

Here's the link for the log files. I got three of them in the main directory. Hope that's the right ones.

Read SASModAct3's manual calmly and carefully.

SASModAct3's manual shows... "old called MODS folder" is at SASModact named "#SAS" folder.

Okay now it's kind of making sense. Last night I activated the DIFF_FM mod via the GME and I found the DIFF_FM folder in the #SAS folder instead of the MODS folder. Now I know why. Okay, I will give that shot this evening. Thanks in advance.
