"Data Corrupt File 1" message in QMBPro
« on: January 09, 2012, 12:38:51 PM »

In QMB Mission Pro, I recieve the "Data Corrupt File 1" message on occasions. For example,  in the Desert Libya map, the message appears when starting up a mission - on some occasions - but at other times, the missions (all types) start without a hitch. There seems to be no logic to this although after a failed start, if I exit out of Il-2 then restart, the missions seem to work again.

Any cure for this? Thanks.

I ran into this issue as well.

Any idea what the issue is here? Is it to do with the mission type selected?

Regards,

Try entering "Data corrupt file" into search, there have been many discussions and workarounds on this, too many to list

FF: I ran into this as well and posted at the time (above) and reviewed other posts. No real answer as to why some of the corrupted missions work. . . sometimes, but not at other times. I had the same issue was the Libya map, but also with Battle of France and others. I've managed to correct some of the QuickQMB data corrupt issues, but not each one I've encountered. Typically, the corrupt missions have the wrong number of flights (too few), the flights are misnumbered or the "1-1" plane has not been selected as the "player" aircraft. There are also some other oddities - which don't cause a data corrupt error - such as Red AA being placed on a Blue airfield which results in a rather chaotic expeience at takeoff when your aircraft are coming under guns positioned only short distances away.
