getting shot down is a fact of life in real war, especially if you don't learn to evade.   ;)  these SAM's can and DO miss, they also sometimes only do slight damage (depending upon circumstances and your skill) and also if you spot one coming (there's a warning) then evasive action and escape is 'entirely' possible.

give it some practice and you'll figure it out.

The S-75 (aka Sa-2) was design to shot down modern jets like the F-4, F-8 etc. Any thing slower/less manuverable your chance to survive dramatically reduced.  8)

eddie's right.  a sharp, high speed turn or even a quick dive and sharp break will usually lose them or at the least lessen damage.  using hills/mountains also works great with these...  as long as YOU know where they are or are going to come from.  he's right again...it's the ones you do NOT see that always get you.

i usually survive one hundred percent of the time unless caught flatfooted.  my AI wingies sometimes fare much worse, but that's 'their' fault.   ???

Hi Beowolf, I got this very (I would say a  must for Viet environment!) interesting mod but still not installed in my Sas Modact and now comes the JetWar v1.2.... Are they compatible or will be in the future?
Best regards,
Gianluca

when i make a mission, they just shoot at the ground and blow themselves up. while i am happy not to be shot out of the sky, i would like to add a degree of realism to some of my vietnam era missions.

they have not been converted yet to the new jetpack and the newest DBW and will likely have issues.  they may work, but likely not exactly as intended.  they'll be an update, i'm sure...but it'll likely be a little while yet as everyone at FM has tons of irons in the fire on other projects.  don't worry we've not forgotten the SAMs and will continue to improve them as time allows.  and hopefully add 'more' version/types too as we go along.
