[WIP] Marianas Expanded

I was flying around on the stock Marianas map the other day and thought it looked really crappy and could use a facelift, so I began working on a mod version of it. Almost everything is done except for object placement and creating airfield points on my new custom airfields. More pics to come soon. This should be done before Christmas.





Old Orote Field (looks like a F***ing international airport)




New custom historically accurate Orote field:




Guam





Saipan





New airfield on Rota that previously did not exist, but played a part in the Marianas Turkey Shoot. Oleg neglected to add it.

Excellence thank you. The more historically correct the better. Will this be a direct replacement for the stock map?.

Ah yes that looks much better, it is difficult to get airfields looking real, something i haven't mastered yet but yours are looking really good and i really like the texturing......will make a nice addition....very nice ;)

Unfortunately it won't be a direct replacement since I've changed the size of the map.

Ah, love it.  :)  Love those airfields.  I also hate and despise the modern looking "international airport" appearance of airfields on some of the stock maps.

I  like the "international airport" appearance since I fly jets :D, but DaveOD06: This looks indeed much better, a great approach. This map looks very promising, shares some visual elements from redko's Palau and WHC's Hawaiian Islands retexture IMO. ;D.

This map looks fantastic and many thanks for all the work and effort on this project.  This will be a nice addition for PTO based squads to enjoy especially !
