I think this is something about ships.ini and technics.ini not related to the class files, but ship inferno effect is missing yet.
Maybe the ship's turrets are too strong to be destroyed in DBW.

Maybe a clean install of the whole IL-2 1946? theres probably moddified files in there that I have no idea what/where. What are your thoughts?

Did you try with the UP3 files? Perhaps you have an UP3 version of files.sfs in your main folder...

your up3 files work in my MODS folder, tried a QMB Normandy1 early map w/ bombs etc.. seems to be A-ok however The track "The Black Death" crashes as soon as the bombs hit the ground

EDIT:
seems the IL-2 96 x PTAB-2.5 bombs are causing the crash apon expoding. Same with the B-25/A-20 Parafrags.

Yes, I haven't found anything related to ships in the original Plutonium classfiles. What does this effect do?

You may want to try on a clean install
It shouldn't crash like this. I tested both versions extensively on most tracks and heavy missions with many effects.

I'd appreciate if other UP3 users tell me if they also experiment crashes with no other mods activated
It seemed to work fine on my UP3 RC4 install, but some bugs may have gone unnoticed

OK. I've fixed the version for UP3, it shouldn't crash anymore on vehicle explosions.
This was due to a old version of 72DCDDF4D2AD25E8 I mistakenly left in the folder. Sorry about that!
