Tweaked map-h manually so rocky parts become more volumineus and show more irregularities.

An impression of the 'before' and 'after' situation:

And this is how the mountainous area in the south of Crimea looks at the moment after playing around with map-h:

Isn't the entrance to the Mines of Moria somewhere on one of these screenshots? ... Crimea mud map? Sneaky suspicion we are going to (finally) get a piece of Middle Earth ...  ha ha.

Your very very patient Uff  ;D :D ;)

Detailing map_h sure is a process  ;)

Rivers for me are very time consuming on map_h and in fmb full but worth the effort in the long run.

Keep up the effort Uff  ;D :D

You'll start to see the world in shades of grey if you spend too much time on map_h  ha ha  ;D ;)

I should have been more specific, I didn't really work on map_h but in Unlocked FMB I used the height tool and the mouse wheel to lower or raise the mountains. Still very time consuming though...  ;)

By changing the brightness or contrast of specific areas on map_h, you can somewhat more easily adjust the height of those areas, make hills/mountains sharper and more pronounced or level them off. It's less work than using the height tool in map-maker, though also a bit less precise.

Uff,
Big apologies for my tardiness.
Your screen shots for the Crimea are very beautiful. Your template for the villages is very realistic.
But I ask you to add a little brightness / contrast to the landscape.
Very much you Crimea severely yellow.
Please add a little brightness and contrast, hue of green.

Even for the Crimean autumn weather very much too hard yellow color you...
Crimea is almost always sunny, except for the fall and winter ...
You have so many wonderful textures and developments. (Get the same Manchuria).
There's much more fun to landscape

The Crimean Mountains  good at it!
For the height map( map_h), you can quickly use the tool "finger" in Photoshop.
It's very easy to draw quicker slopes...

I'm not criticizing you. I just express my opinion ..
Sorry for bad english, I'm still the lazy
But I live in Ukraine. I just happened to be more often than others in the Crimea...
