Saitek Pedals death?
« on: October 16, 2011, 09:22:43 AM »

Hi!
I've the Saitek's Pro Flight Rudder Pedals since 2008 and they had worked fine...since yesterday  :'(

Last evening I've removed all peripherals  USB cable to move PC in another place. Then I've insrt USBs into an USB multiple adapter cause the new positioning of peripherals.

Result: pedals don't work....power's LED isn't turning on and PC don't rcognize them. All other peripherals works flawlessy.

Any hint about that...or pedals of mine are simply dead?

Thanks in advance for any help! Regards

Have you tried plugging the pedals into a USB port on the computer to see if they work?

Is the USB multiple adaptor new or were you using it before you moved everything?

Does the muliple adaptor have a power supply from the mains electricity or does it get it's power from the computer? If it doesn't have a mains power supply perhaps that is the problem.

@Sid
1) Have you tried plugging the pedals into a USB port on the computer to see if they work?
    = Yes. Don't work anymore.

2) Is the USB multiple adaptor new or were you using it before you moved everything?
= It's not new...I've used it some years ago. JoystickThrottle+

3) Does the multiple adaptor have a power supply from the mains electricity or does it get it's power from the computer?
= Yes it has it but with it or without nothing change.

P.S. I "suspect" it's definetly broken.

i'm afraid i have to agree, mate.
if a usb device doesn't work when plugged it, it's pretty much tickets.
nothing to be done - buy new pedals.
not what you want to hear, i'm sure...but there you have it.  :(

I'll give it a try...it hurt me to spend 180 Euro now.

Did you know (there's an image of that fuse?)
