I Installed and played your mission in my DBW1.6 setup; everything OK, I've even switched to P-51s with different loadouts, no problem...

hmm...strange stuff. i reset all the regiments to stock, removed the loadouts, and still my P-40 spawns at the wrong end, gear collapses, the rest of my flight are just pieces flying about around me......
works absolutely fine on Modact, UP, etc.....weeeird.

Just downloaded the mission file and going to take a look myself
will let you all know what happens

I have UP3/DBW/HSFX install so can test on all three versions

Hi Boomer

As seen above I do my testing in DBW 1.5 I have 1.6 but current map projects are in 1.5.

After about a week of giving me the razzoo's the 'problem' is fine now.  ;D :D ;)

Very strange cause this airfield did work previously.

Just thought at first it could have been a map problem as it is a new Pacific project and I have never seen this before with any testing.

I further tested a bunch of plane combinations yesturday in a short air battle as I did previouslyand the problem rectified itself last night.

Not sure how it was rectified but I do not sink anymore and my flight does not explode   ;D :D ;)

Problem could happen when maps are not aligned. For example, you can have water in Map C and ground texture on the same place on Map T. Could be that . . .

hmm, ok thanks Avala - i'll compare my maps, but it's the stock Kuban map, that appears to be totally unchanged, other than textures.
i don't have any mods (i think) installed that might cause this - only the old Uranium FX, POV mod and some ships/planes......
as i'm going to be playing about with textures a bit today ;) i'll investigate a bit more

ok, some final feedback from me before i give Kirby his thread back...
after changing all the mission parameters (planes/regiments/loadouts, etc) i decided to try a new tack.
Boomer's comments about the regiments got me thinking, and in the past i've had a mission or two seemingly not 'read' the changes, for whatever reason.
so i loaded up the same map in FMB, added a new flight of P-40's from scratch, saved it, copy/pasted the rest of the objects/planes in from the old mission, saved it, and voila! the mission now works as it should.
so, go figure....the two missions look identical in the mis file, but the old one:
a) crashes my flight on spawn.
b) there is no sign of the friendly A-20's, but if i cycle through enemy planes (Ctrl+F2) i find a solitary A-20 floating God knows where, in the sea somewhere... ???
c) there is no sign of the enemy planes - the Ohka and the Me163 - the only 'enemy' plane to be found is the A-20 mentioned.
the 'new' mission plays out with all planes in place...
crazy shit, man!

ok, i found the cause of my problem, and now i fear this is particular to my install.
although i changed plane loadouts, i didn't do so for the accompanying A-20's, which were armed with Mk13 torpedoes.
as soon as i changed their loadout, the mission works - this got me thinking to a comment i made in the DBW beta AI thread some time ago, about my carrier planes exploding on mission start if armed with Mk13's.
there was no reply or further mention of it, so i guess this is a problem with my install, but how or why?
it works fine in my UP3, Modact 3, it's only with DBW that this is happening.

I possibly could have had 1 pixal that was unaligned after doing alot by hand last week.

Thinking about what Avala mentioned.

I'm definitely ok now.  ;D
