Exploding Sinking planes on take off huh!

Well,

This is a first for me  ???

On the current Pacific WIP's I have one airfield of which a plane will sink its wheels into the ground then explode before take off.

This airfield is a very important location and it's the only airfield that is giving me the raa zoos   ??? :-[ :'(

I tried another airfield copy/paste just to see if same problem is there and it still is.

I also tried numorous aircraft unmodded and modded.

Keen to know what this problem would be and if anyone can put me in the right direction it will be very appreciated  ;D :D :)

As I say it's just one and only one airfield gggguuurrrr  ???

Can't this be a levelling issue of the landscape/textures?

BTW
I recall a similar issue from Histomod -a former WIP- and it was something between a bug in Histo and PalMissionProCombo in that case-basically incompability. ACs started either inverted and broken on runways or sank into the ground.

On first thought, I thought there could be a hidden object in collision with the plane.
Second thought, maybe the runway texture is acting like water.  Have you tried changing the texture?

I re levelled the area this morning and still get the sinking exploding planes.

For Mr.Texan it's just an airfield no objects as yet but will try another strip today thinking about your changing the texture idea.   ;D

Am using Boomers UP3 FMB full map making mod as he gradually convinced me to go this way
All Pacific projects are made in UP3 and tested in DBW

actually, i've discovered i have the same problem with the Kuban map- maybe it's been retextured for DBW - but i made this mission eons ago, and recently decided to give it an update.
for whatever reason, my plane instantly sinks into the ground on mission start, gets damaged - the rest of my flight have seemingly blown up on mission start, as i hear them screaming on the radio, but there is no sign of them in the mission.
i wonder if something wasn't screwed up with this particular base when the map was retextured.
one odd thing is that my plane spawns on the wrong end of the runway, but facing in the right direction, which doesn't help.
anyone here like to test the mission for me, and let me know what happens? i've attached it.
you fly a P-40 taking off to attack a passing Japanese convoy - pretty quick mission - it's part of a campaign i made literally years ago, and i've never had problems with it until now.

Just flew your mission Malone in my SAS ModAct 3.6 setup; everyrhing OK. Planes (P40s) took off, attacked the flotilla, suffered greatly, two returned (no A20s made it unfortunately... :-[)

I blame it on the ground crew Drunk again on Saki   :D ;D ;) :)

My flight doesn't even have a chance to give thier families honour in combat.

Will see if any new results come out of this soon.

I thought it could have been maybe an A! problem.

Tried many combinations of planes today.

If any new results will let you know

This is an old issues and has been explained over at Ultrapack
It has nothing at all to do with the maps

You must have not upgraded to the latest files or version,
as this issue has been fixed

I've got UP3 RC4  installed with your map maker mod for UP.  ;D :D ;)  ;D :D :P

Just this one airfield only.

The three pacific projects all ok except just this airfield.

Will have a browse through the UP site on Sunday  ;D :D

Boomer, that mission i posted up works great on all my installs - i just tested it on each one.
the problem occurs only with my DBW install. if i try this mission with DBW, it's screwed as per my previous description.
so, my guess is something in DBW might not have been fixed as per the one you mention.
cgagan, could you or someone else test that mission in DBW and let me know what happens?

I can't remember right now
but I think it had to do with load outs on the planes,
or the weapons changes

It was mentioned with the DCG problems I think
but I seem to remember it was related to planes and or there load outs

Or.... could be a problem with Regiments
