Someone else had said that as well (I think it was a user named "Wildchild" or something similar, but the post seems to have been deleted). From what I remember, he said that another team was working on it.

Here it is, from my B-36 request thread:
A private group is currently working on a B-52 that we should see with-in 6months or a year. There plan after that is a race P-51 (I think), and if a B-36 isn't done by then they will do it too.

Ah, thanks for that. I had tried running a search, but only 2 posts had showed up. After searching again, a whole bunch of other posts appeared. Thanks again.

Well Silverback this is not the B-52 this is the B-75 Moscow. Completely designed by me to the very engine mountings. So I dont care if there is a B-52 in the works.

Yes!
And probably XB-75 will be much better for the game than B-52, as B-52 defence is centered on electronic countermeasures, which have a little effects in IL2. But XB-75 probably will have a lot of defensive cannons - the dream of bomber-pilots, and nightmare of fighter-pilots!...  ;)

Yep, thats what I'm talking about. Also I'm thinking about putting 5 turrets consisting of nothing but .50 cals, and a Tail Turret consisting of a 20mm and 2 .50 Cals, also I'm putting on a couple of AIM-9 (Early) Sidewinders for long range protection.

Of course, it is your plane, your work, but let me share some thoughts. Battle experience in Korea shows that jet fighters like Mig-15 had a little problem to shoot down a bomber (B-29) with similar gun's protection (at least if the bombers are with no or little fighter's air-protection). Soviet copy of B-29: Tu-4 moved to 20 mm and then even to 23mm cannons (it reality their effectiveness was problematic as 23mm cannons caused strong vibrations in 12.7mm turrets and after test firing/shooting the turrets had to be repaired often ). B-36 already had 20mm cannons.

Regarding missiles: early Sidewiders can be fired into jets only from the tail-direction (i.e. from behind a jet-fighter), so I am afraid that they could be of little usage.

But again: it is your idea, your work, and it would be nice to have any version of your XB-75.
