Lights from DBW
« on: August 19, 2011, 07:03:04 AM »

Hope someone can help me with this  :(

I'm making a mission for instruction purposes on Ultrapack 3, with diferent lights on the runway to simulate taxi lights, parkings and all the stuff you can see in an actual airport, but this is what I see in UP3 RC4:

At this distance the lights increases their bright a lot, and if you put some of them closer to each other, the effect is like a Woodstock festival on the parking area  :D

But if I switch to Dark Blue Mod and load the same mission, this is what I have:

The lights looks much more realistic, this is what I need. But for the instruction in my squad, we use UP3 RC4, that's the problem  :-[

Any way to take those lights and include them in #UP# folder?

Thanks and cheers.

I do not use any lights mod. First screen shows the lights that came with ultrapack. The seconds shows the lights in DBW 1.5.

What I'm trying is to locate the files affecting the brightening in DBW, and integrate it in UP3.
Or maybe locate some standalone mod to reduce that anoying brightening in UP3.

Just any thing to reduce this waste of energy in crisis times!  ;D

Ok, I'm working on a new lights mod.
Maybe you could beta test it for me.
What do you think?

Try it first on UP, because in DBW you need to change the technics.ini file:

Just put it in your #UP# folder.
If you want to see the flashing effect, just remove the dash of the desired folder.

Could you make some screenshots, please?

Excellent job, almost perfect!  :) Just one little issue, if I make active the white flashlight, it see this way:

Everything else works perfectly, green and red flashlights included. At daytime the lights looks without intense bright:

But is specially at night, when your work looks amazing....
(Sorry for the poor quality, IL-2 doesn't make good screenshots at night)

Thank you very much santobr, I really appreciate this. Our base will never be the same discoteque thanks to you!   8)
