It would be best to show "Edged Faces" in the image so that the details of your mesh can be seen. You need to apply different "Smoothing Groups" to each part of the hull to get the appearance correct. Your hull has 6 principal surfaces so each of these should be in a separate smoothing group.

You need to find plans which include hull cross sections. The shape of your hull looks wrong to me.
The appearance should be more like the example posted by Mellissa.
To get this right you need to use cross section drawings.

Please tell me that's a German patrol boat! The game is in a desperate need of a German patrol boat.

Awww.

It's a heavier torpedo boat, not a patrol boat.

there you see the walls of the PT boat are not vertical, but inclined. if you can make that happen, it will improve the impression your Hull makes by 200 percent.

The underside of the PTboat will not be so important.... when a bomb falls on it, its toast anyway :D

You need to get that cross section drawing setup as a reference in your model.
Move the vertex points at the bottom of the vertical sides inwards, as said above.
Then sort out the smoothing groups.

After these steps your hull should look much better.

Then look again at the superstructure parts.
The vertical "tubes" only need to have one height segment, not five.
The number of sides on the tubes can be reduced to about 12.
Make the number of sides as few as possible without badly affecting the appearance.
How thick do the tube walls have to be?
If it is thin then just use a cylinder with the cap removed.

K I have made adjustments to the hull and have 2 pictures of two different hull movements. I would just like to know which one is more suited for the model. As for the smoothing groups, do I  group the smoothing groups as 1 hull , 2 side and 3 deck. I am  unsure about the smoothing groups.I am also about to start with the torpedo tubes.

Thank you to everyone for your continuing help with my 3d project  ;D .
