And correct cockpits for the -4 and -5?

By the way, the offer still stands.  If any Corsair builder/modder needs pictures or technical information, just ask me.  I made the same offer at AAA and no one responded, although I think one person said I should make them myself.  I would if I had the skills.

Nice planes

I'm having trouble releasing all the bombs in some loadouts.

Also some bomb releases have been linked to gun firing buttons, meaning that to release the bombs you have to fire the guns as well, or firing the guns means you loose your bombs.

cheers

I'd appreciate if you could be more precise and detail the bugs you are encountering - except the bug with center side bomb release on the F4U-5 (which has been corrected since, in the new version) which is constant with every user, some users describe bugs in your very words - but I am unable to correct them so long I have no precise details upon them - it seems that the bugs are related to some configuration of the mods on the user computer (bomb release frozen) -may be an interaction with another mod - or of their joystick (the issue with cannons and bombs for instance as in the Java they are affected to 2 different commands). When we first beta-tested the planes on histomod, it run smoothly except teh F4urbomb problem, but when Freddy tried to include the F4U pack in the Korean mod pack, he got stuck with a similar problem (but is busy with upgrading the sabres and mig and therefore hasn't yet found time to check each F4U to describe me the bugs) - Therefore, it would be very helpful if you could give me a precise details of the problems.

G'day

One bug was the F4U-5 centre bomb release (which has now been corrected, just tried it) but the other main bug is the Trigger 1 on the CH Combatstick which is mapped to [fire guns and cannon] fires the guns and cannon and releases a centre stores (not the tanks) which (bug) also have no time delay on impact, making it very difficult to use the heavier bombs.

I can see where the difficulty arises trying to release three different types of ordinance. Perhaps map this release to the [fire cannons wep 2] on the F4U-4 and the [fire guns wep 1] in the other F4's. mmmm maybe not (scratches head)

wep 1+2  =  Joybut 1
wep 1     =  Joybut 2
wep 2     =  K
wep 3     =  Space
wep 4     =  Alt Space

cheers

You can remap the gun switch.  No corsair has mixed gun armament, so shoudn't be problem.

Hi DreamK,

Thanks for these planes. Unfortunately I've been having the same problems as some others on this forum. I'll try to go into some detail to help you bug-check:

The planes work fine whenever they have a rockets-only ordnance - they will attack as normal.

If they have to drop bombs of any kind they freeze up in mid air, sometimes at release, sometimes just flying low - this is on all planes, not just the -5. This affects AI and player planes.

Multiple ordnance (ie rockets and flares) always freezes the planes.

This problem is common to all the F4U's.

I had this problem when I was using UI 1.2, and now that I've imported them to HSFX 4.1 I have the same problem.

Hope this works out - they look great.

CY6.
