Ha, Ha Jude! :)

Well actually in most of these museums on the US West Coast you can touch the planes, go under them, etc. You can touch the Fw-190 at the Planes of Fame (a flying replica unless I am mistaken), a lot of the planes on the aircraft carriers, at the Palm Springs Air Museum, etc. :P

I also believe you can climb in the B-17 at Palm Springs, and also at Chino's Planes of Fame. :-*

But you expected that didn't you? ;)

BTW California is not so far from Japan... and whenever you come to Paris, be my guest, not only for a beer... 8)

Cheers,

Vince

Just saw this again, Vince.
That sounds so good. I'm in no hurry to visit America again (left my appendix there last time I went!) but those museums do sound great.
And as for Paris, you'll be sorry you ever offered... me and my girls are a handful (them more so than me).

There's a great flight museum in Washington state where you can climb in a real B-17 F.  They have a bunch of fighters that actually fought in the war, as well as several world war one replicas and two real, preserved WW1 fighters (!)  I took a bunch of pictures, and I might post some later if I can find them.

I had a lot of fun watching your 4 videos. 8)

Thank you!

The weather you had in October was apparently superb, like the one I had in May. :)

BTW the actual Apollo 11 capsule is on display at the NASM in Washington, at the National Mall... what you saw inside the Hornet is a test capsule. :D
But yes the real one was recovered by USS Hornet! :-*

Amazing pictures vtrelut. I see the planes and vehicles at Planes of Fame every Saturday but I haven't been to any of the other museums even though all of them except the Hornet are fairly close. Of course they are all much closer to me than Paris.  :D
