Thunder Ridge Race Course
« on: June 26, 2011, 11:25:41 PM »

If you enjoyed the movie ... this pack contains Skins / Course + instructions for those who might like to fly / race the course themselves ... always more fun online as a group but flyable solo if desired.

Enjoy,
Tiger

Mmmm, methinks I must finally get hyperlobby and warm up my #74 and findout when the next sim air racing league race is...
Looking very nice, any chance of some more screenshots/info to tempt peoples, also, would it work with stock 4.101m?

I tried to put in single missions, set a player aircraft in FMB, but somehow i am not able to play it offline (When i hit fly nothing happens). There is also no briefing, is that normal ? Otherwise this looks very cool  8)

Its for 'online' only with no missions - you have to pick the airfield you spawn from, and so will not work in FMB; unless you know how to do stuff with FMB, it's purely for air racing, scenic flying/testing or PvP I think.
My air racing maps are in online/Dogfight 1/AirRacing, which you can practise offline by creating a host even if the net is uplugged...

Hi Guy's,

@milantrack - My bad mate, I should have said as a Solo player within the Dogfight mode ... hopefully your all ok now?

@razor1uk - Thanks for your help explaining things .... on the screenshot thing, this course was made specifically for a movie that the squad I'm with thought we'd make ... if you've not seen it ... it can be found here ... a moving screenshot  :)

one question: how do you turn of roundels on your wings and fuselage, because I can't find the "switch" in dogfight mode when i'm customizing

Cool stuff, made an offline mission from it (brutally simple one) and had some fun.
AI even matched the pylons (way too high lol, 100m is too much) and only one suffered terminal damage.

 :)

Cheers

coenoo1 ... when you're in the arming screen to select an aircraft, make sure that both the Air Force & Squadron boxes have "None" selected ... that should fix things for you   ;)

@Tom2 ... well done ... I wonder how low the AI would go without crashing? ... not sure they'd take the same risks a human pilot might  ;)

+1
I think having AI based racing opponants would be a helpful training aid, for both course route and basic engine handling benchmark for beginners to train on maps offline.
