Problem with the old [ShipPack] setup is noted. I have changed the instructions on the first post.

Epervier -- What will be needed to fix your problem with the J Class and Tribal Class models is some new msh files. The latest ones, which work properly, are in SFS files in HSFX5. These will need to be extracted. If I get some time to look at it I will see if I can sort it out.

Brilliant work again, Asheshouse - thanks very much!
The Med is becoming very exciting now....looking forward to the HMS Eagle next, for operation Pedistal.
....but for now, Totanto! Toranto! Toranto!
Swordfish pilots war-cry before attacking Italian fleet at anchor... ;)

I was able to extract the files HSFX (Cossack, Nubian, Napier, Javelin, Warspite). I have almost no alarms (twenty!).
Thank you for your work !

With a different paintwork you can have her sistership, too: Andrea Doria.

Seems you are nearly there. I have been working on Jupiter and Cossack and now have no errors in the log. It should only be the *msh files which need replacing with those from HSFX. It is the shadow mesh parts which are causing the problem. I did not learn how to do these properly until the Fiji and Duilio models.

I have no plans to do Andrea Doria at present, but if anyone wants to do a skin I will make a new ship slot for it.

I do have plans to do RM. "Guilio Cesare" BB sometime. This has a similar hull and main guns but needs a remodelled superstructure, secondary guns and AA.

Of more interest though will be a Littorio Class.

For a full Taranto line up two of each class are required.

CONGRATULATIONS Asheshouse ! All your ships are GREAT  8)

Do you consider making some japanese BB (Fuso & Kongo classes) & CA (Mogami & Maya classes) as there is a big lack there ?

Some of the Japanese warships would make great subjects but I am very focused on the Mediterranean theatre at the moment. There is still so much to do there. This is not fast work. Duilio took 9 months. The earlier Warspite model took me 2 years to complete, but not continuous work. In fact when I started Warspite I had no idea how to make the models, how to texture map and how to import into IL2, which is why it took so long.

I think the best candidate for a generic BB for the IJN would be a Kongo Class. They are the perfect partner for the carrier fleets. I have a Kongo Class hull started but it is not in progress at the moment.
I am also attracted by the Fuso Class because of the extreme pagoda type bridge structures. I expect these would challenge the poly count limits. I would much rather see some of these earlier warships than later things like Yamato.

It would be good to see all of the major nations with at least one each of BB, CA, CL and DD classes.
With these you can put together realistic looking fleets of various types. Its long overdue for the KGV Generic BB's to be removed from the game and replaced with something better.
