« on: June 02, 2011, 09:04:36 PM »

Was wondering if anyone knows of any campaigns/missions using the Graf Zeppelin. Checked here,M4T,Flightsim Files, didn't see anything.

I have a small venture going on, maybe a minicampaign using the Graf Z.
but since the shippack/ships designation in UP3 changed I will wait further development until I progress there... also one map I use is still missing from UP but may be added later on.

all older missions must be reworked to get the designation correct under UP3.

- Is this why in some older missions/campaigns I've tried to add to UP3 have the AC falling in the water at the beginning with no carrier in sight? I don't really know my way around adding ships yet.

yes, UP3 has Graf Z and Peter Strasser as German carriers.

all new ships henceforth are going to the "ships" section (designation). so all older missions from installations which had a seperate "shippack" section are not compatible and need small rework (substitute "ShipPack" with "Ships" in the .mis file by a text editor - as simple as that)

Would like to announce that I have started work on two campaigns featuring the "Count" as I like to call her. A 20 mission German campaign from early 1941-early 1943, and a 20 mission British campaign from early 1941- late 1942. Progressing slowly as I have halted work till ashes HMS Eagle is completed as I have plans to make it the main british carrier. So far the German campaign is into it's third mission taking longer then anticipated as the all involve many aircraft. Hoping to use vacition time to knock in out. If the bosses let me have a vacation  :'(

londo, rather than halting work, why not use another carrier as a placeholder for the Eagle in the meantime?
work, and bosses, permitting, of course.... :D ;)

Thought about it but I figured might as well do it right the first time. And right now only the british campaign as on hold and the germans can make it up to mission 10 before I planned to use the eagle just waiting for some time to work on it ;)

I was involved with the ships part of HSFX5
Although all ShipPack models were shifted to the Ships section we retained the class files and ini entries for ShipPack as well to ensure backwards compatibility. Not sure if the same was done for UP3?

Malone, your right.Until the eagle is done I'll do the first ten mission of each campaign and then finish when it is release. Sorry became a bit of a perfectionist, just wanna make sure the first thing a contribution is as great as this site.

am working on a campaing for it, 25 missions done from 1940 to 1941, but am holding back because in DBW the landing routines for the Ju-87 C are messed up.
Campaign goes off Wilhelmshaven to Norway against the RN, and back
second part from 1941 to the high north, convoy hunting, back to germany, and then a Channel dash to the French Coast is in progress. That Campaign Part will go out into the atlantic
1942 will see an attack on the Portuguese islands in the atlantic, and a patrol to Gibraltar.
am also waiting for the Sea-FW190 to become available, so i can pass the year 1942 with more mission options a

Sounds really cool, the first couple missions on mine are attacking british ships from the fjords of Norway then launching a Taranto/pearl harbor style attack on Scapa Flow, then mostly convoy hunting and then an attempted dash to the indian ocean.
Any ideas on what map I should us for Scapa Flow?
Was thinking about using Blumaxes(?) retextured onlines cause I dont think there is a map with Scapa flow on it, is there?
