The missing Upper_Burma Map
« on: April 27, 2011, 07:33:46 PM »

As i remember someone took the Upper_Burma map (That's why the actual one is called Lower_Burma) from Fabianfred some time ago. Any news on that?

Quote from Farang65

"Take Fabian Fred's Upper and Lower Burma maps.
He initially made one Burma map but it was too large in memory size so he split the map in to two Upper and Lower Burma. "

Could very well be on an external hard drive somewhere.

I recall I had initial problems loading it but that was around two or so years ago with little experience.

I also remember I made one of my own.

If I find one or the other or both  by Fred or myself will post a link.

Heavily into the Central and South American region now.

It must be all that Mexican food I am eating at a restaurant in Chiang Mai  8) :D

Many thanks for posting the link, fabianfred. :)
I'm afraid that after I downloaded the file, I find no entry for the all.ini. ???
Can you help with this, or is such an entry not necessary?
Thank you in advance for any light you shed on this. :D

Many thanks, Boomer. :D
But, maybe a trip to upper Burma isn't in the cards for me. :(
FMB gives the following error:
World.land0.loadMap0error.java.lang.RuntimeException:Landscape'BurmaUpper/load.ini'
loading error

I figure, at a quarter gig, she deserves a look-see, but so far I'm not getting there.

your folder had a underscore in the name ?
strange.... you downloaded the file from above by Fabian Fred ?

I downloaded from the above link provided by FabianFred,
the file name is "BurmaUpper.rar" with no underscore

After extracting the archive,it becomes a folder named BurmaUpper
again,with no underscore

Inside are the map files,so it is the map folder

BurmaUpper BurmaUpper/load.ini

The map folder name has no underscore,it is the second name in the all.ini string
To need an underscore in the second name of the string,
then the actual map folder would need an underscore in the name.

all.ini info is relatively easy to write
1>the first name does not really matter, and can be really anything you like
2>then one hit on the space bar to create a space
3>then the folder name of the map
4>followed by a forward slash /
5>then type in whatever the name is of the load.ini you want to load
(most maps are just load.ini)

some are loadw.ini for a winter map
the load.ini can be any name the map author wishes it to be

MapName(one space)MapFolderName/load.ini
