Complete List of ALL airplanes for IL-2 Game
« on: December 27, 2010, 10:17:41 AM »

---------------------------{ I L 2 + M O D S  = L I S T  O F  A I R P L A N E S }

This Airplane List has been updated in MARCH, 2013

 ........................................

What is flying right now in the IL-2-1946 ...with the Mods installed ?
.
Here is a list of what you can see and fly in at the moment.
More names will be added to the list as soon as the aircraft arrive to your game hanger.
.
Please note that some airplanes are still in phases of being finished (W.I.P./Alpha/Beta) or re-worked  to be
even better and some others have not been available for download due to the creators decision to not do so at
this moment.
We will have to wait until another version is made available.
.
Please be patient, all of your dreams and dream-machines will come true one day soon.
.
Many airplanes have been flying and tested in versions of the IL-2-1946 with mods…
Ultrapack... DBW (DarkBlueWorld)...  DBW-1916 (the WW1 game version)...  HistoryMod ... SAS ModAct ...
... JetWar, etc. etc.
Although some aircraft may not fly. You must test them for the game versions you are using.
.
NOTE - these airplanes will not fly in the normal game version of the IL-2-1946.
You must  have the special mods-packages installed. . . over the original IL-2-1946 game --.
.
Please DO NOT ASK HERE where you can download them.
You will find in this forum has sections to download these airplanes and their available Skins.
There is a search engine that you can use by typing in the name of the airplane.
Note also that some aircraft mods may not be available here - you may have to search in other forums to
download them.
.
This airplane list is NOT finished (yet).
ALL Names posted below are from the airplanes game air.ini file and are the names that should belong on
the "Skin-Folder" for that particular aircraft, unless the airplane has been re-worked and the name changed again
to another name. You will to find that by yourself.
.
I have tried to put these in Alphabetical order
.

Hi mate!

I'm sorry to tell that the indication about Forgotten_Countries SAS Switched V31 isn't relly correct because it work but not at 100% and can cause conflict!

All the best!

Doesn't them from the old Panther?

I remember a tread over AAA that discuss them free falling or twisting falling!

 ;D ops, sorry, I should be more specific: I meant Josse's F51 https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,687.0.html

I haven't Forgotten Countries installed, but I noticed that the 30% crash often arrives with planes not compatible

410 quick missions haven't the "strike"type missions and are quite different, with SEASON, WEATHER, MDS, RESPAWNTIME sections, that are not present in old QMB mod quick missions

I've also been trying to add maps to the quick mis list, but haven't figured out how to do it. It doesn't work in the old way with additions to the config.ini file ...

410 allows to drop missions directly in Missions/Quick/your_map_folder without any other entry needed
but they MUST be made with 410 FMB one by one.
Missions already present in Missions/Quick may be used as a guide to make own self made ones :)

I see that the Forgotten Country mod is still between the working on 4.10 but it cause some trouble if installed , at least can be specified that.....

It's an odd thing with the Forgotten Countries Mod. The game loads OK, but sometimes when a QMB or an FMB mission is loading, there will be a ctd of the whole game around 30-40% of loading the mission ... you get an 'exception' notice and then a quick ctd.

I disabled the Forgotten Countries Mod and since have not experienced such a crash anymore ...

A shame about the mod cause it is very useful.

MAT manager is a real must have. It doesn't damage your installation, no conflicts, it should be sticky!!! :)
Give it a try, Ag: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=3117

important is to follow instructions:
Procedure after you install the program:

1) Copy your 1946 game's "il2fb.exe" and rename the copy to "il2.exe." (You should now have both versions in your game's main folder. Don't simply rename il2fb.exe

2) Edit the [game] section of your game's conf.ini file so that ClearCache=0 (note: or add this line)

3) Go to your PaintSchemes folder and make sure that Cache and NetCache are not 'Read Only.'

4) Customize some MATs and save your changes. Click on the Load tab at the top left corner. Exit IL2-MAT Manager and let the files transfer.
Start 1946 and see if the changes appear in the game. For testing purposes, changing the default Japanese insignia to any custom MAT will give very obvious results.
