Like elephant said its the name of the pilot,Its a pity because i would like to have and my own back there...but as an Avionics operator in the back seat you dont have a stable plane or a pilot so you dont have your name Written next to the canopy

Don't you worry your time will come...
We often visit the Araxos airbase, with my parents at the Air Force Day, (Nov. 8th), as a boy back in the 80s...
I remember that the F-104 Gs of the 335, 336 Sqn. those days, had many of the stencils translated, like RESQUE= DIASOSIS, DANGER=KINDYNOS and so on...
They don't do it any more, as I can see from the pics...

Are those the F-16Es (or something like that) that are even better than the U.S. types? I don't think ours have the big avionics hump in the back.

BTW, are your ground crew allowed to have long hair and wear blue jeans?

Just an observation but it might be a Girl in the first photo and not a guy, although I don't know if the Greek Air Force has integrated women into their service. Second, the "jeans" look like a faded pair of camoflaged pants that make up the utility work clothes. You can see them better in some of the following photos.

Excellent photos! I live next to Hill AFB where the 388 TFG is located. They fly the F-16 and almost every day, many flight are going back and forth between the base and the range. Love the Viper.

I never said I thought it was a guy. In some forces, women would not be allowed to wear their hair like that, especially on the flight line. They have to keep their hair short or up in "buns", etc.
